It is absolutely disgusting how a liberal typical English university can allow such odd practices. I’m writing as we speak from Hungary, where I have been explaining this and they are equating this to the communist oppression era. When those who have experienced such a thing as the beginning of an oppressive regime, perhaps the vice chancellor, who is himself from a working-class and normal background, should look at history and decide where he would like to be placed in the history lessons of future generations.
